To save money the US gov is proposing a shift to 5-day delivery for the Post Office.
Why stop there? How about M-W-F delivery? Or better yet, staggered MWF/TTS delivery depending on your location. When was the last time you got mail that couldn't wait another day? Subsidizing this largely antiquated medium still probably makes sense, but certainly daily delivery is an unnecessary luxury. Personally, I'd be fine with once a week. Less recycling for me to do.
